Phone New Email Setup

Due to limitations in our Mobile software and Google, we are starting to use a new email client called K-9 Mail. To access emails on your NHCC mobile device use the following guide.

The new mail client should be found on your homescreen it is called K-9 Mail.

Setting up a new account

Enter your email in the space provided. And tap manual setup.

 

Enter your password if prompted to enable manual setup. 

Account type

Tap IMAP. 

Incoming Server Settings

IMAP Server:

     imap.google.com

Security:

     SSL/TLS

Port:

    993

Username:

    {Confirm your email located here}

Authentication:

     OAuth 2.0

Auto-detect IMAP namespace:

    Checked

Use Compression:

     Checked

Google Authentication

When prompted enter your email in the box 

Google Authentication

When prompted enter your email and then password in the box.

Connect Google Account

Allow access to your email.

Outgoing Server Settings

SMTP Server:

     smtp.google.com

Security:

    SLL/TLS

Port:

     465

Require sign-in.:

    Checked

Username:

     {Confirm your email located here}

Authentication:

   OAuth 2.0

Account poll options

Folder poll frequency:

     Every 15 minutes

Number of messages to display:

    50 Messages

Notify me when mail arrives:

    Checked

 

 

Name your account

Finish by naming your account.
